Prosale are pleased to introduce new RC2 and RC3 security options across our revolving doors and circular sliding door ranges — reinforcing an already versatile line-up of automatic entrances.
The RC (Resistance Class) ratings are a system used to classify the level of security or resistance that a door or window provides
against forced entry, including burglary attempts.
The RC ratings are part of the European standards for security, particularly in relation to burglary resistance.
The European standard EN 1627:2021 specifies the classification of burglar resistance for doors, windows, curtain walling, and grilles.
-
RC2: Enhanced security. Offers resistance against a more determined attempt at forced entry using tools like pad saw, hack saw,
and wedges. -
RC3: Higher security. Designed to resist more advanced forms of attack, including using heavier tools like crowbars,
locksmith hammers, or hand drills.
These upgrades sit alongside our established portfolio, giving architects, contractors, and end users more control over risk, compliance, and performance. Whether the priority is footfall management, architectural impact, or high-security protection, we can now specify solutions that strike the right balance from day one.
Expanded Security Options Across the Range
Revolving Doors – RC2 & RC3
Revolving doors are often the centrepiece of a building’s entrance, setting the tone for both experience and efficiency. With RC2 and RC3 certification now available, they can also deliver robust protection against forced entry — ideal for offices, public buildings, transit hubs, and mixed-use developments.
Circular Sliding Doors – RC2 & RC3
Circular sliding doors combine movement precision with architectural impact. The addition of RC2 and RC3 transforms them into a compelling choice for secure front-of-house applications.
Reinforcing our commitment to security
Across retail, transport, leisure, hospitality, and industrial environments, Prosale’s revolving doors and circular sliding entrances already deliver exceptional reliability and lifespan value. With the RC2 and RC3 additions, customers can now elevate these familiar, proven systems into higher-security roles without compromising aesthetics or user flow.
This is especially valuable for sites where revolving doors serve as the main public-facing entrance. They manage traffic effectively, reduce drafts, improve environmental control, and now — with RC2 or RC3 — strengthen the building envelope against intrusion. It means businesses no longer have to choose between architectural design and physical protection. They can have both.
These enhanced security options also open the door to futureproofing. As risk levels rise or operational needs change, buildings equipped with certified revolving doors and circular sliding doors are already aligned with best-practice security standards, extending the value of the installation over its lifetime.
