Job Description

Job Title: Trainee Automatic Door Technician

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job purpose: Assist our trained technicians on site with door installations and servicing of our automatic operators and associated products; warehouse duties are also inclusive of this role and will be split throughout the week.

Package / Starting Salary:

Salary: £16k- Overtime available

Key responsibilities and accoountabilities Office / Warehouse days:

  1. Maintain stock control and general tidiness.
  2. Monitor quality of goods in and out, and take corrective measures where needed.
  3. Use of machinery (circular saw/ forklift) - training provided
  4. Load and unload lorries when required.
  5. Pick products for installation the following weeks.
  6. Assemble components to assist with installations.
  7. Respond to ad hoc requests from members of the team.
  8. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities On Site:

  1. Install and assist with installation of automatic door operators in a professional manner.
  2. Maintain stock control and general tidiness of the van effectively.
  3. Ensure quality of work at all times and take corrective measures where needed. 
  4. Respond to ad hoc requests from members of the team.
  5. Complete all paperwork ina  legible and accurate way to ensure all know what has been carried out and (if applicable) what remains to do. 
  6. Respond to customer call outs on Prosale equipment.
  7. Liaise, and attend meetings, with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
  8. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
